New BBS experience requirements are coming January 1, 2016.  For five years the BBS is allowing applicants to choose whether they want to be evaluated under the old or new requirements.  Which should you choose?  We can help you decide!  TrackYourHours has been updated to allow you to easily see how many hours you can claim under both the old and new requirements.

LMFT – Each situation is different.  The new requirements provide the benefit of removing some category maximums.  However, they also remove the double counting of couples/family hours and personal psychotherapy hours (which are triple counted).  Login to TrackYourHours and you will be able to compare the hours you can claim under each set of requirements and determine which option is best for you.

LPCCThe new requirements are the best option for all applicants.  The only changes to the requirements are the removal of some of the category maximums.  As a result, the new requirements will be better than or equal to the old requirements for all applicants.  Login to TrackYourHours and you will be able to compare the hours you can claim under each of the sets of requirements and determine whether you gain any additional claimable hours under the new requirements.

LCSWThe new requirements are the best option for all applicants.  The changes include the ability to claim supervision hours and workshop hours.  As a result, the new requirements will be better than or equal to the old requirements for all applicants.  Login to TrackYourHours and you will be able to compare the hours you can claim under each of the sets of requirements and determine whether you gain any additional claimable hours under the new requirements.
